Renee Magasanik's Story
Prolonged exposure to combat and operational stress are just part of the job for service members and first responders. Warriors receive some of the best training to prepare for facing extreme and dangerous conditions. However, without the tools and training to help to manage the impact of stress and other traumas, those who serve us are vulnerable to developing serious stress-related disorders.
Mind-body practices like yoga are increasingly becoming a more popular adjunct therapy within the military and first responder population. Even the VA has recognized yoga to be highly effective in managing pain and improving systems of depression, anxiety and insomnia.
Please consider a donation so that Warrior Within Yoga Project can continue its work providing yoga and meditation to our Veterans and First Responders at no charge.
