In May 2023, fifteen-year-old Vivian Seay, was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer that affects children, teenagers and young adults. Vivian battled through ten months of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation before passing away on February 7, 2024.

Vivian grew up part of an active family. She and her three siblings played multiple sports. Vivian’s favorites were lacrosse, which she played from an early age, and field hockey, which she fell in love with as a high school freshman. Vivian was a dedicated athlete, always striving to improve herself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Before and during her cancer treatments, Vivian enjoyed eating healthy, exercising, running, and walking outdoors, often at Lake Royal, close to our home in Fairfax, VA.

Please join us for a walk to remember Vivian, and the impact she had on each of us, by doing something she loved. Beyond the Battle is an opportunity for each of us to continue beyond Vivian’s battle and raise important funds and awareness for Ewing Sarcoma.

Our second annual Beyond the Battle Walk will take place at ~~Robinson Secondary School~~ George Mason Field House on the second anniversary of Vivian's passing, February 7, 2026, from ~~10:00 - 11:00 am~~ 12:00 - 1:00 pm.

We want to live in a world where no family experiences the loss of a loved one to Ewing Sarcoma.
