This April, we're launching Beyond the Horizon: Securing Cotton Branch for Generations—an ambitious capital campaign to protect and strengthen the place so many pigs (and people) call home.

From the rolling hills of South Carolina to the Queen City of Charlotte, we’ll be hitting the road to connect with our amazing community—sharing stories, building hope, and rallying support.

Over the years, our sanctuary has weathered storms—literal and figurative—and we've always found a way forward. But after a season of rapid growth, increasing medical needs, and aging infrastructure, it's time to take bold, intentional steps to ensure we’re not just surviving—but thriving.

🏚 Rebuild barns and fencing: Time and weather have worn down key structures—new materials will keep our pigs safe and dry year-round.
🐷 Repair and restore safe housing: Some of our most vulnerable pigs need upgraded shelters built just for their needs, including temperature control and ease of mobility.
🌱 Plant new pastures: With new forage planted, we’ll be able to offer our residents healthier, greener grazing areas that support both nutrition and enrichment.
💊 Provide arthritis medication for four pigs: These medications are expensive but life-changing—helping our aging or injured pigs move with less pain and more joy.
