Did you know Berkeley High is considered one of the top soccer programs in California? The Varsity team has dominated in recent years, finishing 19-3-1 overall and 7-0 in league play to win the WACC championship! Our JV and Freshman squads are also powerhouses—the JV team went 17-1-3 last year, and the Freshman team finished undefeated at 17-0-2.

What truly sets our teams apart, however, is our commitment to academic excellence. BHS soccer players consistently maintain one of the highest GPAs in the state, and nearly all our seniors go on to top colleges, many with scholarships.

This year, 162 students tried out for just 75 spots—a reflection of our program’s strength but also a reminder of our limited resources. As a public school with 3,400 students and over 1,200 athletes, we compete against schools with far greater funding. That’s why we depend on the generous support of our community each year. Your donation helps provide:

Equipment and Training Gear: High-quality, safe equipment for skill development.
Tournament Fees and Travel: Including a major tournament in Davis.
Uniforms and Team Apparel: Building pride and unity.
Team Events: Celebrations and bonding activities that strengthen our teams.

We aim to raise $400 per player to cover these essentials and ensure every athlete has the opportunity to thrive. Every contribution—no matter the amount—directly supports our players’ growth and success on and off the field.
