Big Brothers Big Sisters NW Montana has a long-standing legacy of fostering meaningful, one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Originally founded in 1978 as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flathead County, our organization has spent decades nurturing life-changing connections between volunteer mentors (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”) across northwest Montana.

In 2019, recognizing a critical need for expanded mentoring services in western Montana, we embraced an exciting opportunity for growth by assuming the Missoula service area. This milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter and a new name—Big Brothers Big Sisters NW Montana—signifying our commitment to serving youth more broadly across the region, including Flathead, Lake, and Missoula Counties.

As a proud affiliate of the national Big Brothers Big Sisters of America network, we are dedicated to defending the potential in every child. Our work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored local outreach, connecting children with caring mentors who help them build confidence, achieve goals, and envision brighter futures.
