Out Boulder County did not plan to host an annual race this year, but thanks to local community member, Dave Ensign, we’re excited to announce a non-official virtual event. Join us in cheering on our racers! Please sponsor their run, and all proceeds will go to support the critical work of Out Boulder County.

Thousands of runners around the world who qualified for the 2020 Boston Marathon have had their event turned into a virtual race. Qualified runners have signed up to do the 124th Boston Marathon Virtual Experience, and will run a full 26.2 mile Marathon between September 8 and 13. This coincides with our Pride week, and there are several local racers, so the Big Gay Virtual Boston Marathon will be an official part of our Pride Week line-up.

Because this is a virtual event, all COVID-19 safety recommendations and regulations will be in effect. There will be no road closures or licensed event space, so runners and spectators need to participate at their own risk and comfort level as this is not an official event and the route will not be blocked off. We will do a Facebook live-stream via Out Boulder County's main Facebook page @outboulderpride from the finish at 10:30AM to talk to the race finishers and celebrate their accomplishments, so tune in to enjoy the moment from wherever you are. More details of the runner's plans and expected times will be coming. If you wish to participate without running the route yourself we anticipate that people can:

- Share out or runner peer-fundraising links so that we can raise as much money for Out Boulder County as possible!

-If you're able, make a contribution to our runners' peer fundraising links and support Out Boulder County!

- Celebrate at the finish line — Runners will be finishing between 9:00AM and 10:15AM at Tom Watson Park, 6180 N 63rd St in Boulder (1 mile North of Hwy 119/Diagonal) where there is plenty of parking available

- Check out our live-stream that morning at 10:30 AM by visiting Out Boulder County's primary Facebook page @outboulderpride.

Anyone donating more than $20 when sponsoring runners will receive a free Out Boulder County Pride mask and a free running belt from 303 Running!
