Hey! My name is Jack Barlow, and I am the Parent and Alumni Donor Relations Coordinator for Bike4Alz Team 14. I’m from Freeburg, Illinois, and a Western Kentucky University student majoring in Construction Management. On campus, I serve as a School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Ambassador and a small group leader for Living Hope Church.
I first learned about Bike4Alz before I even joined a fraternity at WKU, and the organization immediately caught my attention. A group of twelve dedicated men biking coast to coast sounded like an incredible adventure, but what truly stood out to me was the cause behind it. My most personal connection to Alzheimer’s is through my great-grandmother, who lived with dementia and passed away in 2024. Each time my family visited her, we could see her slowly become less aware of the world around her. Watching her forget the people she loved most was incredibly difficult, but it’s also what drives my passion for this mission. I am honored to be part of Team 14 and excited to share the journey ahead. Through Bike4Alz, I hope to connect with others who have been affected by Alzheimer’s and continue raising awareness and support for those battling this disease.
