Hello! I’m Miles Harvey, the Director of Ride Operations (DRO) of Team 14. I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky. I am a sophomore at WKU, majoring in Finance with a concentration in Personal Financial Planning. On campus, I am a member of Phi Gamma Delta, a senator in The Student Government Association, and a member of Dance Big Red.
The first time I heard about Bike4Alz was right before I stepped on campus. I had a friend who was at WKU who introduced me to the organization. As soon as I heard about the impact it had and the cause it was going to, I knew I had to apply. Because of how heavily Alzheimer’s disease has affected my family, I decided to apply for the head position.
My personal connection to Alzheimer's is my great-grandmother, who passed away from dementia in 2018. Watching her mind deteriorate and her struggle to remember the names of my family, including mine, was something that I will hold onto forever. I am committed to finding a cure for this terrible disease and connecting with people who have also been affected. I hope that Team 14 can shine a light into those people's lives and we can make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. #ENDALZ
