Amelia’s story is one of courage, strength, and an unstoppable spirit. Born at just 23 weeks, weighing only one pound, she entered the world as a fighter. Her twin sister, Gracie, weighed only 7 ounces and sadly passed away shortly after birth. Amelia spent her first six months in the NICU, undergoing six surgeries and battling countless infections. She has been a warrior from day one.

Now ten years old, Amelia faces incredible challenges. She has hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, adrenal insufficiency, chronic lung disease, and gastroparesis. She is non-ambulatory and non-verbal, using a communication device to share her voice. Hospital stays are frequent—last year alone, she spent three months inpatient, including a twenty-day stay in December, ten of which were spent intubated.

But through it all, Amelia radiates pure joy. Her laughter is infectious, and her smile lights up every room. She loves swimming, bowling, adapted baseball, and spending time with friends. One of her greatest discoveries during therapy has been riding an adapted bike—watching her move her legs and grin with excitement is nothing short of magical.

For years, her family has dreamed of getting Amelia her own adaptive bike. Finding accessible activities that fit her needs has become increasingly difficult as she grows. A bike would be a game changer, giving her the freedom to move and experience the thrill of riding.

Thanks to the incredible support of The Federation, this dream is now within reach. The foundation has taken up the campaign to get Amelia the adaptive bike she deserves, but we need your help to make it happen.
