Bowling is our thing!

Before they were AMF, Towson and Woodlawn Fair Lanes were where the Browns and the Cains showed up.

Adults on leagues. Kids on leagues. Pinball machines. Cigarette smoke. Competition, love, and laughs.

And nobody laughed louder than my father. Fa is what I called him.

As the years passed, Fa and I kept finding lanes.
Los Angeles. South Africa. Wherever life took us.

He had his ball in Baltimore. I had mine in LA.
No house balls. If you know, you know. 😉

Last year, The Binti Circle hosted its first bowling fundraiser, Bowling for Binti.
Fa was there in spirit, cheering us on, but his health kept him off the lanes.

Now, we bowl for him.

Launching the inaugural Bill Lee Brown Legacy Bowl at Towson is a full-circle moment.

It’s a reflection of what he gave me and what I’m now building for others.

More than anything, Fa wanted me to rest. He believed in it.

That’s why the Binti Circle exists.

So Black daughters can care for themselves while caring for their parents.
