I’d Like to Introduce You to Hunter

I’m sharing this page because Hunter’s story has come to mean a lot to me, and I would like more people to know about him and the work being carried forward in his name.

Hunter Watson was a college student with a big future ahead of him. He was curious, creative, entrepreneurial, and excited about what might come next.

His life was cut short when he was killed as a passenger in a distracted-driving accident.

Hunter’s family and friends created Hunter’s Fund so that something positive could continue to grow from his life. Today, his story inspires young people to drive safely, pursue promising ideas, and make a difference in the lives of others.

One Story. Thousands of Young People Reached.

Each year, Hunter’s Fund works with college students across the country to host Safe Driving Weeks on their campuses.

More than 1,400 student volunteers have helped raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving, encourage their classmates to make safer choices behind the wheel, and ask them to sign Hunter’s Pledge.

It is a simple commitment that can save a life.

Helping Young Ideas Get Their Start

Hunter’s Fund also provides grants, mentorship, and encouragement to young people with promising ideas in music, performing arts, technology, entrepreneurship, and other creative pursuits.

We believe there are remarkable young people everywhere with ideas worth exploring. Sometimes, what they need most is someone willing to believe in them early and give them the opportunity to begin.

That is another way Hunter’s spirit continues.
