Thanks to the generous donations from amazing people like you, we surpassed our goal of $10,000!

Here's how the funds made an impact:

$3600 went to purchase food and supplies locally
These much-needed items were combined with local food and supply donations and loaded on a truck to NC.
The remainder of the funds have been directed to two organizations making a difference in the affected area:

About the Fundraiser

Hurricane Helene has brought unprecedented devastation to Black Mountain, North Carolina, and the surrounding regions. With over 30 inches of rain in some areas, the catastrophic flooding has washed away roads, knocked out power, and left many homes uninhabitable. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, but the community remains in dire need, as thousands lack basic necessities like clean water, electricity, and communication lines. This disaster has isolated parts of the region, making it difficult for emergency teams to reach those most in need.

Thanks in part to local fundraising efforts here in the Perdido and Pensacola communities, an Operation Blessing relief truck is on its way to the Black Mountain Fire Department, one of the first relief efforts to reach the residents of Black Mountain. Operation Blessing’s truck will provide essential supplies and support to those struggling in the wake of this disaster. For those of us who have weathered our own storms, like Hurricanes Sally and Ivan, we understand the deep need on a personal level, and this effort is a testament to the power of community-driven recovery.

Please consider donating to help bring further relief, supplies, and hope to a community in desperate need. Your contribution will go directly toward restoring their lives in the aftermath of this historic disaster.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

The residents of the Black Mountain area are in urgent need of virtually everything following the devastation from Hurricane Helene. While all supplies are welcome, the items listed below are most critical at this time.

Hygiene Items (diapers, feminine products, etc.)
Pull-Tab Can Goods (Soup, Vegetables, Meat)
Shelf-Stable Breakfast Items (Pop-Tarts, Granola Bars, Cereal)
Paper Products (Bowls, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper)
Heavy Duty Trash Bags (40-55 gallon)
Shelf-Stable Food / Groceries
Water
Generators
Flashlights and Batteries
