Because of this community, we unlocked the full $40,000 challenge match, pushing critical dollars out the door to help keep Bloomington families housed. Thank you for showing up when it mattered.

But the need is still urgent. Our total goal is $600,000, and every dollar raised goes directly toward preventing displacement and covering March rent for families who are still at risk. The funds already distributed are making a real difference, and families are counting on us to keep going.

2/19/2026 Update & Challenge Match Unlocked:

Because neighbors like you showed up, $257,000 raised through this fundraiser has already been distributed, keeping 126 Bloomington families housed in January and February! The need has not slowed. Our community response is working, and families are relying on it.

We are urgently raising the next $250,000 to help families in our community remain housed and prevent displacement in March. Generous community members have stepped up to help jump start March rent needs with a challenge match. When our community hits $300,000 mark, an additional $40,000 will be unlocked! Update: The Need Will Not Disappear Overnight

Even if ICE leaves Minnesota (which they haven't), the need for neighborly support will not disappear overnight.

Families in our community are still experiencing lost income, missed work, and ongoing instability. Rent is still due. Groceries are still needed. The impact of fear and disruption does not end when enforcement changes or headlines fade.

We are now focused on preventing housing instability in March and continuing to provide direct support for housing, food, and essential needs.

This is often the moment when public attention shifts. For many of our neighbors, the crisis is not over. Needs remain immediate and ongoing.

Bloomington Mutual Aid will keep showing up with care, consistency, and community support for families navigating this moment.

Every day, families in our community of Bloomington, MN are being forced to remain homebound as our area endures occupation by ICE. Parents are keeping themselves and their children inside to protect their safety, often at the cost of work, income, and access to basic necessities.

Bloomington is home to nearly 90,000 neighbors, and right now local families are reaching out every day asking for help. These are families who need urgent, practical support to get through a vulnerable time.

This is a fully volunteer-led mutual aid effort working in partnership with Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. There are no paid staff or overhead costs. Funds are used directly to meet real needs identified by families, schools, and community organizers.

When you give to this Bloomington Mutual Aid fund, you help families stay housed, fed, and supported without having to choose between safety and survival. Your generosity offers relief, dignity, and stability when it is needed most. Your donation helps cover:

Groceries and essential food items
Rent and housing stability
Transportation for medical and essential needs
Diapers, formula, and baby supplies
Basic household necessities
Urgent requests from local schools and community partners
Safety & coordination supplies for volunteer organizers meeting community needs
