My platform, B.L.O.O.M. (Believe. Love. Own. Overcome. Manifest.), addresses and empowers people to persevere through the myriad of challenges that affect our lives as we matriculate. I want to emphasize challenges within the sphere of holistic well-being.

B.L.O.O.M. originated from my candidacy for Miss Spelman, and I always planned for it to blossom into an organization for the collective. It is a continuous life cycle that needs to be applied to ensure you have the process to B.L.O.O.M. wherever you are planted. The Oxford English Dictionary defines Bloom as the “state of greatest beauty or loveliness, most flourishing condition or season, prime perfection or to come into full beauty, to be in fresh beauty and vigor, to flourish.” Pay attention to the language, most flourishing condition, or season. Only once we pour into ourselves can we become the most flourishing version of ourselves. Flourishing- the present tense because we should always aim to elevate ourselves in every area of our lives. Only once you Believe there is better, Love yourself enough to achieve it, Own your issues & identity, Overcome offenses against yourself and others, and Manifest better can we continue flourishing. Aspire to B(elieve), L(ove), O(wn), O(vercome), M(anifest)!

BLOOM is seeking 501c3 status to become a non-profit organization—the documents required for approval cost over $600 to file.
