I know what it feels like to love this work — and to wonder if you can afford to keep doing it.

As a wellness educator and community builder, I've seen firsthand how financial barriers stop talented teachers from deepening their practice, completing their training, and ultimately showing up for the communities that need them most. Not because they lack passion or commitment — but because the wellness industry was never designed with them in mind.

That's why I created Body Bend Yoga Community Foundation: to make sure no educator ever has to choose between growth and stability. BBYCF is building a nationwide network of empowered wellness practitioners — people equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and support to serve their communities with real depth and care.

We focus specifically on low-income and BIPOC communities — the people who have the most to gain from wellness, and who have historically had the least access to it. Our programs don't just offer classes. They build teachers. They build leaders. They change what's possible.

We are officially launching BBYCF this year, and our year-end goal is to raise $70,000 to bring accessible yoga, wellness education, and healing-centered programming to underserved communities — covering our first fundraising event, community programming, operations, marketing, and practitioner support for a full year.

But we're not asking for all of it today. Our immediate ask is $5,000 — an initial sponsorship to host our first fundraising event. This will help us secure a location, hire wellness practitioners, market the event, and capture professional video content to support every donor conversation that follows. It's the first domino.
