Mission: To care and advocate for Alaska's wild birds through rehabilitation, education, and outreach.

We have already cared for nearly 570 injured or orphaned birds from across Alaska this year, providing them with medical and supportive care and returning many of them to the wild - like the emaciated baby Merlin who came to us in July.

We cared for this youngster for seven weeks, taking pride in each milestone, especially when he flew to his highest perch and learned to hunt for himself. When we set him free, he flew perfectly into the wide-open sky above Potter Marsh.

To have more success stories like this, we need to build new enclosures to prepare birds for their second chance at life in the wild. We're asking for your help constructing flight conditioning pens in which birds can rebuild their flight muscles after weeks of recovering from injuries.

Also, our youngest and most vulnerable patients, orphaned waterfowl, need an insulated shelter until they can regulate their body temperatures.
