Cast your line and make a difference! The Annual Boston Bonanza Virtual Fishing Tournament supports Elevate Youth's FishOn! program, bringing the thrill of fishing to kids in underserved communities in the Greater Boston area. Elevate Youth provides free, fully-equipped fishing trips to local ponds, rivers, and lakes, complete with transportation, gear, food, and instruction.

It's more than just fishing; it's an educational adventure fostering conservation awareness and ecological understanding. Plus, fishing boots social and emotional skills like confidence and building relationships. In the last 3 years, we hosted more than 20 youth fishing prep classes and more than 50 youth fishing trips - more than 1200 hours fishing! Additionally, we partnered with the Friends of the Blue Hills, Mass Wildlife, Massachusetts Office of Outdoor Recreation and Greater Boston Trout Unlimited to host multiple community events, welcoming more than 700 participants from babies to grandparents simply bonding together near the water.

Tournament Format:

The Boston Bonanza Fishing Tourney '26 is a catch-and-release virtual tournament between May 1st and September 4th. Anglers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this fun, community-focused tournament. Share your catches with us via photo submission! Submissions require only a picture.

Entry fee: $65.00

Fee plus youth sponsorship: $100 (which enables a child to participate in several fishing trips, and you're guaranteed a Bonanza shirt and swag!)

Striped Bass Division

Biggest Striped Bass – 1st place (overall)
Sum of the 3 longest fish submitted – 1st Place, 2nd place

Freshwater Bass Division

Biggest Freshwater Bass – 1st place (overall)
Sum of the 3 longest fish submitted- 1st place and 2nd place

Youth Division - FREE Division

Most Fish caught any species– 1st place (Overall)

Fun Monthly Challenges:

Beyond the best in class, we will host bi-weekly challenges with more fun prizes. Winners will be chosen out of a hat by our students or by student vote. Challenges will run from every other Wednesday, with challenges posted via email and social media the day before. Participants can submit entries to weekly challenges by tagging @bostonbonanza and @Elevate.youth.boston or by email.

What's Included:

Your ticket includes participation in the tournament, a Captain’s Bag (featuring a Boston Bonanza bag, an official Boston Bonanza ruler, and a T-shirt for the first 30 registrants.

The ticket also grants access to the awards ceremony, which will take place during the Elevate You Elevate Games on September 17th at 5:30 PM at Cisco Brewers Seaport. Food and drinks are included at the ceremony.
