BRAVO (Blue Ridge Adventures ~ Vision Optional) provides educational and enrichment opportunities for youth with blindness and low vision, with an emphasis on a life lived outdoors. The rivers, ridges, and trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains serve as our base camp, but we welcome campers from anywhere on the map: a sense of adventure and a curious heart are our chief requirements.

As we gear up for summer camp season, we're also hosting our annual online fundraiser. The largest slice of BRAVO's operating budget comes from individual donations from people like you; in 2026, our goal is to raise $20,000 from the BRAVO family, to help send kids rafting, biking, climbing, and zipping through the great outdoors. All donations will directly support our programming, including our Bravo Nantahala Adventure Camp, Bravo Asheville Day Camp, and our newest camp, Bravo Charlotte Day Camp. Your gift has a direct impact: BRAVO maintains a robust scholarship budget, funded by donors, and no camper is ever turned away due to lack of funds.

Donors who give $100 or more will have an option to score some sweet BRAVO swag: a spiffy t-shirt or one of our BRAVO trucker hats, complete with a readable braille BRAVO patch. (The order form will be sent after the fundraiser is complete.)
