Join us in the Grand Ballroom of the Georgia World Congress Center on Saturday, April 6th for an inspirational night of fights and fundraising you'll never forget!
It was a cold evening when I arrived in upstate New York to pick up my mom. She was leaving the life she'd known with just a handful of clothing and a promise that she would never have to go back, I would protect her. For nearly 28 years (my entire adult life) my mom was a victim of domestic violence, but on that cold evening, we took the steps toward ending her abuse.
My mom, Bonnie, was lucky. She had family to rely on and was welcomed warmly by every member at The Training Room. Bonnie was able to start a fresh life, but many victims of domestic violence aren't as lucky.
On April 6th, in honor of Bonnie, I will fight for every person that finds themselves in an abusive relationship, in a boxing match at Brawl for a Cause. I can't do it alone though. I need the support of my community. My goal is to raise $10,000 by January 31st, and I need you to jump in the ring with me:
Every 90 seconds a woman is beaten in the United States. Let's BE THE CHANGE and knock out domestic violence.
This is for all the people who have had their voices silenced.
