Since 2017, my diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) has been a huge part of our lives. Even before cancer, reading has been a tool for reassurance, connection and learning with my boys. They were 1 and 3 turning 2 and 4 as I was getting diagnosed -- they are now 11 and 13. Life has changed in so many ways, but reading has been a consistent feature. We are preparing for a trip to DC and reading books that will help them prepare to take in the monuments and museums we will visit.
