ABOUT US

When two healthcare workers began to see some major gaps in our healthcare system for the most vulnerable populations, Opportune Acres was founded. In 2021, we began the journey to provide services to the best people (those with different needs and abilities) in the best areas (rural communities).

We are committed to the inclusion philosophy. Disability inclusion is making sure everyone has the same opportunities to participate in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities and desires.

OUR MISSION

To provide resources and programs for individuals with special needs by offering diverse opportunities that foster inclusion.

OUR PROGRAMS

Our current programs include adaptive swim lessons, traveling horse therapy, and an Assistive 4-H program (allowing children with disabilities the ability to participate in 4-H with accommodations). Upcoming programs will include equine-assisted therapy (Hippotherapy), IEP support, and assistive technology education.
