The WildRoot Collective is raising $15,000 to strengthen community-led work and help secure and develop a community growing and learning space in metro Atlanta.

Strong communities already hold knowledge, leadership, creativity, and care. Across metro Atlanta, grassroots leaders, local growers, caregivers, young people, artists, volunteers, and neighborhood organizations are growing food, supporting families, preserving community stories, responding to urgent needs, and creating places where people can belong.

Yet the people closest to community needs are often the least resourced. The WildRoot Collective was created to help change that.

We move funding, food, supplies, volunteer support, knowledge, relationships, and other resources toward the people and organizations already strengthening our communities. We invest in local leadership, create opportunities for shared learning and collective care, and help move community-led ideas into action.

Your contribution will provide flexible support for:

• Microgrants and direct support for grassroots leaders and community partners
• Local growers, growing resources, and land-stewardship activities
• Youth learning and intergenerational experiences
• Volunteer projects and community gatherings
• Cultural storytelling and fair compensation for community contributors
• Transportation, meals, accessibility, and other participation needs
• Joyful experiences that connect people with arts, culture, nature, wellness, and recreation
• Securing and developing WRC’s community growing and learning space

The WildRoot Collective is actively working to secure a physical space where children, families, growers, volunteers, and neighbors can grow food, exchange knowledge, participate in hands-on learning, share meals and stories, attend workshops, and gather across generations.

Campaign contributions can help with the costs of securing and preparing an appropriate site, purchasing growing and program supplies, and supporting the people and systems needed to activate and sustain the space.

Our work is already in motion.

We are also expanding access to joyful community experiences, supporting youth learning, distributing seeds and growing resources, gathering people through food and cultural storytelling, and investing directly in grassroots work.

Community needs and opportunities do not always fit neatly within grant categories or funding cycles. Flexible contributions allow WRC to respond thoughtfully, sustain the work already underway, and invest in what comes next.
