The Story Behind Built By Warriors

Invisible Warriors started because the help wasn't there when I needed it.

I found nonprofits that raised awareness. I found organizations with big budgets and public records pages. What I couldn't find was anyone who would put money directly into a struggling family's hands fast, with no red tape, while they were still in the middle of living it.

So I built that myself.

No reserve account. No holding donations while a family waits weeks for approval. What comes in goes out because when you're sitting in a hospital room wondering how you'll pay for gas to get home, "we'll process your application in 4-6 weeks" isn't help. It's a formality.

But here's the truth: this only works because of what people give. Every memory bear, every memory box, every book we send a family it all starts with a tool, a material, a piece of equipment most people never think about. And right now, that's coming out of my own pocket, alongside everything else this business already carries.

That's not sustainable. And more than that it's not supposed to be just me.

This mission was never meant to rest on one founder. It was meant to be carried by the people who've lived through this CHD parents, loss parents, warriors who know exactly why a memory bear matters and exactly what it means to hold something instead of just remembering it.

Built By Warriors is that: one piece at a time, built by the community this was made for. Not a donation to keep the lights on a hand in actually making the next bear, the next box, the next thing a grieving or struggling family gets to hold.

This week, it's a sewing machine. Next week, it'll be something else. Whatever it takes, together that's the whole point.

Built By Warriors

Every tool. Every piece. Built by the community that's living this.
