Add to Calendar 2024-11-11 13:00:00 2024-11-11 19:00:00 America/New_York Veterans Day Blood Drive at New Albany Methodist Church We invite you to join us on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2024 to honor all veterans at an American Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by the New Albany United Methodist Church, 20 Third Street, New Albany, Oh 43054 from 1-7 p.m. Donating blood, giving the gift of life, is an incredible way to honor a veteran. Veterans Day is a time to stand united and to pay our respects to all those who have served; to celebrate and honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice. Please share information about this event with your constituent groups, veterans, their families, and all who know and support veterans. We will offer a special tribute to all Vietnam Veterans with information about and a display for the campaign for a New Albany Vietnam Veterans Memorial honoring Albert “Mike” Butsko, New Albany’s only casualty of the war. Information about the 50th Anniversary of the conclusion of U.S. involvement in Vietnam will also be available. Representatives from the American Red Cross Military Families Services will be present to share information and discuss their programs with attendees. We welcome any information you wish to share about your organization and its programs as well. Donating blood is not required to attend this event. All are welcome. We hope that you and your associates will sign-up to donate blood at this blood drive or elsewhere. Directions are provided on the enclosed flier or contact me if you require assistance. The need for blood is constant and maintaining a viable blood supply is critical for those in need. Donors of all blood types are needed to help keep the blood supply stable.
