Hello, hello! As some of you may know, I participated in BvB Dallas in 2017 & 2018 to help raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. As a reminder, in addition to volunteering, we also put on quite a few fundraising events throughout the entire summer, ending with a powder puff flag football showdown at the Cotton Bowl.
Although I hung my cleats up in 2019 and took off from participating in the flag football game, I continued to donate and support the organization into 2020, when the pandemic hit. While that has been hard on all of us, and still is, it’s important to note that nonprofits have also been significantly impacted. That’s why in 2021, I’ve decided to do more than just donate, and actually get back out on the field while also helping to fund-raise for the organization that’s in their 14th year and has raised over $5 million towards Alzheimer’s research and care.
If you’d like to join me in this cause, please consider donating to my campaign. You can either make a $25 “Game Day Admission” donation by clicking “Donate & Tickets” and selecting how many tickets you want or you can make a donation of any amount by clicking “No thanks, I’d just like to donate” at the bottom of the “Donate & Tickets” page.
My personal goal is to raise $3000 by game day on August 7th and our organizational goal is to raise $500,000 to support the following beneficiaries:
-UT Southwestern Medical Center
-The Senior Source
-Center for BrainHealth
-Alzheimer's Association
Let’s #TackleALZ together
Thanks in advance!
