Hello all,
I hope you are happy, healthy, and enjoying a great year. I’m approaching a decade back in Dallas and am returning to BvB Dallas for my 5th year. This year, rather than coach one of the teams, I have joined the Leadership Team which supports the entire organization in terms of fundraising, sponsorship, events, selection of our beneficiaries, and much more.
But just because I’m not coaching this year doesn’t mean I’m not fundraising. With your help, last year I raised nearly $12,000, bringing my lifetime total to over $45,000. Plus, BvB Dallas raised over $550,000, bringing the organization’s all-time total to almost $6 million! It’s amazing to be part of this organization both in terms of what we have achieved in funding ground-breaking new treatments and care but also in the friendships I have made. Alzheimer’s Disease is terrible, but it’s been inspiring to work alongside a great group of people to defeat it.
This year we will be supporting 6 outstanding groups that provide treatment, care, and science to combat Alzheimer’s. Our 2022 beneficiaries are: (1) the Alzheimer’s Association of America; (2) the Center for Brain Health; (3) the Center for Longevity at UT Dallas; (4) the Juliette Fowler Communities’ “Dementia Ready Dallas” Program; (5) the Senior Source’s Guardianship Program; and (6) the Clinical Neuropsychology Alzheimer’s Disease Fellowship at UT Southwestern. You can read more about our beneficiaries and their great work at https://www.bvbdallas.org/beneficiaries.
As you may remember, I’m involved in honor of my grandfather, Col. William B. Liddicoet, who lost his life to the disease in 2015 after a 10-year battle. He was one of the finest people I’ve ever known and doing this in his memory is incredibly rewarding. Of course, none of what we do or the motivation we get in doing so would be possible without your support. This year, my goal is to raise $10,000 (passing that $50K milestone in the process). When you support BvB Dallas, you’re contributing to something that does a lot of good. I would appreciate any help you can offer in our efforts to fight this disease.
We accept both online and physical contributions. You can donate online at: https://givebutter.com/bvbdallas2022/donate2022/meistro81.
