Family & Friends,
I am excited to join the Board of Directors at BVB Dallas. I was a previous coach for Team Pink 10 years ago. I decided rejoin BVB Dallas in a leadership position because I have seen first hand how memory loss and Alzheimer's Disease affects not only the person living with the disease but also family members and caregivers.
I am rejoining BVB Dallas out of love and respect for my beloved mother who as seen some memory loss. My mother serves as the Matriarch of our family of 7 children and 12 grandchildren. She was a soccer mom that always drove my twin sister, myself, and friends to practices. I remember driving around Dallas as a young child with my mom as she delivers Meals on Wheels to the elderly in her red Chevy Chevette . She helped me with math problems and read to me when my dyslexia made it hard to do so on my own. She drove me to and accompanied me to all my doctor appointments and physical therapy sessions at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. My mother still serves a family size dinner every Sunday at my parent's house! She simply is the best!!!
Her unconditional love for our family has been is something I and my siblings, nieces, and nephews are so grateful for!
It is for these reasons above that gets me revved up and motivated to help fundraise for BVB Dallas to help find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease!
The money that BVB Dallas fundraises goes directly to charities, research organizations and senior centers here locally in Dallas!
Some of our previous beneficiaries are The Alzheimer's Association of Dallas, The Senior Source, UTSW, and Juliette Fowler Communities...just name a few!
I hope you decide to buy multiple tickets to the big game at the Cotton Bowl August 12th and or decide to make a donation to help me reach my ambitious goal of $16,000!
Thank you! I'll see you at the Cotton Bowl in August!
BvB Dallas is a non-profit organization that brings young-professionals together to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease research and support organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Founded in 2008 by a group of young-professional women, BvB Dallas was created as a way to honor and remember loved ones who have suffered from Alzheimer’s and related diseases.
Each year the organization hosts a variety of fundraising, educational, volunteer, and fun events for Dallas philanthropists to help eradicate this grave disease, culminating in its flagship event – a flag-football game between the Pink Team & Blue Team.
