The mission of BYDF is to encourage young people to be physically active, experience the outdoors, develop leadership skills and make ethical and moral choices. The Fund achieves this mission by providing financial support to allow young people to attend outdoor activities through youth programs.

With the average cost of overnight outdoor camps being well over $750, such experiences are out of reach for many families. The BDYF can make these activities possible for youth who would otherwise not be able to participate.
