Howdy friends!

We are raising funds for our friend Rami, who is seeking refuge from the destruction in Gaza. We are trying to raise $3,500 for him and his family to be able to leave Gaza and rebuild their home once the ports are open. In the meantime, Rami is working to keep his community fed. With our prior fundraiser, we were able to help him stock up on important supplies.

Our team originally connected with Rami via Instagram and has now been in contact with him (via video chat, messaging, and photos) for a year. We have received photo confirmation that your support has purchased lots of food and supplies that Rami shares with his community. Getting the funds to Rami can be difficult because internet is not stable and most payment processing companies avoid working in certain middle eastern areas. But with the help of organizers on the ground in and near Gaza, we are able to get the money to him. After each fundraiser is completed, we share confirmation that the money got to Rami to our Instagram.

As we know, the situation is dire as there has been no aid coming into Gaza since March. Outside of supporting campaigns like ours, please be sure to be showing solidarity with our Palestinian friends by calling your elected officials (which you can do here via 5 Calls!), by keeping your circle informed and aware, and by supporting/sharing fundraising campaigns like ours.
