The Story Behind the Art

This extraordinary piece began with artist Marten Go (@mgo.preserveddragons), who created a striking digital illustration titled “Cobra Kai Comes to Summer Con 2025.” His artwork brought together 12 cast members of Cobra Kai in a bold and dynamic style.

Recognizing the mission of the Foundation, Marten generously donated the original piece so it could become more than art — it could become opportunity.

At Summer Con 2025 in Puyallup, WA, students, parents, and instructors from Woodinville Martial Arts carried Marten’s illustration to share with the attending Cobra Kai cast members.

When the actors saw the piece, they asked about its purpose. The Foundation’s vision was shared: to fund scholarships for motivated individuals, deserving students, and dedicated parents of students who want to train but are held back by financial hardship.

The cast responded with generosity. One by one, 12 Cobra Kai cast members — including Martin Kove (John Kreese), Peyton List (Tory Nichols), Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz), Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene), and Jacob Bertrand (Hawk) — added their signatures. Their support transformed Marten’s artwork into a statement of shared belief: that everyone deserves access to the life-changing path of martial arts.
