Background:

Voorhees Swim Club, a local community swim club nestled on the edge of Sturbridge Woods in Voorhees, New Jersey. For the past 30 years, the Voorhees Swim Club has provided a place for families to get together and make lifelong friends, for community members to relax and exercise, and for kids to make unforgettable childhood memories and experience the many benefits of being part of the Voorhees Stingray Swim Team. We are open to families from Voorhees and the neighboring communities.

This past January our previous Board of Trustees was faced with a difficult decision. Given rising operational costs and a tax lien that was issued on the property due to failure to pay taxes with the Township the Board voted to close the pool. A group of concerned members met in early March to find a way to keep the club open. A new Board of Trustees was formed and they along with a community of member volunteers behind them managed to open the club this season. Together we were able to get enough members and raised funds to make it possible to keep the club open through the summer and have enough funds to be able to open again next season (Summer of 2025). Unfortunately, in order to make a 2025 season possible we have one challenge left, pay off the tax lien on the property. To solve this challenge the Board of Trustees has decided to make available ten (10) lifetime memberships that will raise the funds necessary to pay off the tax lien. Any additional funds received will be applied to current loans to pay off debt and reduce monthly loan cost. An auction will be held for these 10 lifetime memberships at a minimum price of $6100 each.
