On Friday, December 16, Scott Shannon in the Morning and the Big Show on WCBS-FM 101.1 will broadcast their final show with WCBS-FM live from Blythedale. The star-studded program will include performances by Matchbox Twenty lead singer Rob Thomas (back for his 23rd consecutive appearance), Mark Rivera (of the Billy Joel band), Jax, Acapella Group Six13, Constantine Maroulis, Jake Thistle, and Tim McLoone & Holiday Express.

Scott Shannon has been a longtime supporter both professionally & personally of Blythedale’s mission and has helped raise more than $4 million through his radio benefits over the past 30 years. Money raised from this year’s broadcast will support Blythedale's Infant & Toddler Unit, which provides care and treatment to the Hospital’s smallest and most fragile babies.

“This is always everyone’s favorite day of the year at Blythedale,” said Blythedale President & CEO Larry Levine. “And this year will be an especially poignant one, as we recognize Scott Shannon and Patty Steele for their extraordinary work over the last three decades on behalf of Blythedale's children. It's simply impossible to to articulate the depth of our gratitude."
