Story
Join Parents Helping Parents at the 2023 Gala & fundraiser to witness how PHP transforms uncertainty into hope for thousands of families and their loved ones with a disability. This is our annual gathering where our community shares in the celebration of how we've worked together to transform the lives of families with loved ones with disabilities, and helped them toward a more hopeful future. Proceeds from the gala will provide critical resources and information to families raising a loved one of any age, with any diagnosis.
How many people can sit at my table? The tables at the event sit 8 people, so please keep that in mind if you are planning to attend with a group.
How do I become a sponsor for the Parents Helping Parents 2023 Gala? We appreciate your support and have various sponsorship opportunities available! Email Vanessa Baker-Simon for more information.
Can individuals with disabilities attend FREE with a paid companion? YES! Your loved one with a disability will be our guest! After you purchase your ticket(s), email Kathy Kenyon with their name and any other important information.
How will the evening flow? The Parents Helping Parents 2023 Gala runs from 5:30-10pm. Look forward to socializing and networking while passed appetizers and drinks are served, followed by a brief welcome, a plated dinner and auctions at your assigned table. Bartenders will serve beer, wine, sodas, tea, and coffee. A photo booth will be available throughout the evening for added fun and we'll top off the night with dancing!
What should I wear? Suits, dresses, dress pants, and jackets are suitable. Please, no jeans, shorts, or flip flops.
Can you tell me a little bit about the venue? The Orchard City Banquet Hall is located within the historic Campbell Community Center, near the corner of Winchester Boulevard and Campbell Avenue. It is fully accessible for individuals with mobility needs.
Will it be easy to find parking? Yes. There is a large parking lot at the Orchard City Banquet Hall, with many accessible parking places. The venue is easily accessed by VTA bus routes. Park in the F parking lot, which is next to the Orchard City Banquet Hall. There is an entrance directly off of Winchester Blvd, and you will see balloons and signage directing you to turn into the parking lot for the event.
Is my ticket tax-deductible? A portion of your ticket is tax-deductible. See your purchase receipt for details.
What are the COVID/health protocols? PHP is committed to your well-being and will follow local health department guidelines and mandates.
