Game Changer Award

Each year, Change Our Future recognizes professionals for the leadership, innovation, accomplishments, and impact to change the game and remove barriers for their communities. These leaders make an undeniable impact in the lives of families, youth, colleagues, and partners.

Recipients of this award are nominated by members of their community for displaying leadership, resilience, and passion in alignment with Change Our Future's four pillars of success which include Health & Wellness, Education, Community Impact, and Youth Development.

Changing Lives Award

Change Our Future is honoring educators across the country during our 5th Annual Sneaker Ball. The Changing Lives Award recognizes current educators who have gone above and beyond to make change for their kids, schools, and community.

This year, Change Our Future will honor educator Dr. Debbera Peoples-Lee for her dedication to youth in our community.

Impact on the Community

Your support counts, and with this year's Sneaker Ball School Supply and Sneaker Drive, we are excited to partner with John Marshall Elementary in Philadelphia, PA to donate over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies.

This school was chosen in recognition of the outstanding leadership of Principal William Lawrence, who goes above and beyond for both his students and the surrounding community. Under his guidance, the school has become a hub of care, service, and support. From organizing annual back-to-school drives that bring students and parents together, to his recent recognition for receiving the lineback award for distinguished Principals. Principal Lawrence exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose and compassion.

As a Black male leader, Principal Lawrence’s work is especially powerful and important—and we believe it's essential to stand behind him and help his school continue to thrive. By providing school supplies, we aim to remove one small but critical barrier for students—so they can show up ready to learn, without worry.

All guest who attend the 5th Annual Change Our Future Sneaker Ball are asked to bring a pair of new or gently used sneakers and/or new school supplies to donate to the School Supply and Sneaker Drive!

Individuals who are unable to attend the event, are encouraged to click the button above and donate $50 to sponsor a backpack filled with supplies.
