Dump & Run ITHACA

Dump & Run ITHACA is a campus- and community-wide waste-reduction and recycling program through which items are collected from students leaving in May, and resold in August to students moving in.

Over the years, we've found that people are very generous and often donate designer-quality, popular, or large "special" items that volunteers would add to the sale at various points during the sale week. However, unless people came to the sale every day, they would miss out on these specials. This year we are trying something new with this auction to give everyone a chance to bid on these popular items.

Bid early, and set your maximum bid. Winning bidders will be charged automatically at the close of the auction, and will be notified by email. Net proceeds benefit Cops, Kids & Toys, Inc., a local nonprofit that helps Tompkins County families and children in need.

Sharing joy with every toy

Cops, Kids & Toys collects, purchases, and distributes toys and gifts to financially disadvantaged children in Tompkins County during the holiday season.

The program started in the early 1980s with two Ithaca City Police officers helping out a few children. It is currently supported with volunteers from every law enforcement agency in Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Probation Department, numerous local businesses, and many volunteers. As the number of families in need continues to grow, supporters of Cops, Kids & Toys have risen to the challenge. No gift is too small to put a smile on a child's face!

Applications are accepted October 1 through the deadline of December 1 for families wishing to receive toys for their children.

HOW IT WORKS: Bidding starts Mon 8/18 at 10a. Bidding closes Sat 8/23 at 5 p. Choose starting bid and maximum bid. Winners will be charged automatically and receive an email. Pick up on Sun 8/24 from 10a-5p. Thank you!
