Natural Creativity began with a simple but powerful belief: young people deserve to be trusted.

Founded by Peter Bergson, Diane Cornman-Levy, and Christopher Steinmeier, Natural Creativity started as a small, self-directed learning space for homeschoolers. From the beginning, the vision was to create an environment where young people could follow their interests, build meaningful relationships, and grow in ways that felt true to who they are.

Over time, that vision has grown into something much larger.

Today, Natural Creativity is a community-based learning hub in Germantown, serving young people ages 4–18 through self-directed programs, camps, and community events. Families come to NC looking for something different—more flexibility, more connection, and a learning environment that honors diverse ways of thinking, including neurodivergent learners.

As we’ve grown, we’ve also expanded how our space serves the community. We host workshops, gatherings, and youth-centered events, and our summer camp continues to welcome more young people each year into a creative, mixed-age environment rooted in exploration, play, and connection.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to access.

We use a sliding scale model because we believe this kind of education should not be limited to those who can afford full tuition. Each year, scholarships make it possible for families to join our community who otherwise would not be able to.

This campaign supports that work.

Funds raised will go directly toward our 2026–2027 scholarship fund, helping more young people access a space where they are supported, challenged, and able to grow into themselves.

Natural Creativity is more than a program.
It is a community built on trust, relationship, and the belief that young people deserve something better.
