Pacific Buddhist Academy (PBA) is honored to announce our 2026 Lighting Our Way Banquet, to be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at The Kahala Hotel & Resort.

This year, we proudly celebrate exceptional honorees whose lives reflect the values at the heart of our mission:

Dr. Nobuyuki Miki - Vice President of International Relations and Chief Advancement Officer, Kuakini Health System
Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald (Ret.) - Hawaii Supreme Court
Vernon Wong - Senior Vice President, First Hawaiian Bank Wealth Management Group
Omotesenke Domonkai - Celebrating 70 Years of Preserving and Carrying Forward the Way of Tea

Our Banquet recognizes individuals and organizations whose leadership inspires others through compassion, resilience, and service. These honorees embody the virtues we strive to cultivate in every student. They embody gratitude, empathy, and a deep awareness of interdependence.

PBA is the nation’s only accredited high school with a Buddhist values-based education, welcoming students from all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. We challenge students to strive for academic excellence, lead with compassion, and create positive change in their communities and the world.
