The Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc. is a Florida-based nonprofit organization and a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable corporation under the Internal Revenue Code. Founded in 2012, the Foundation operates independently and is not part of the City of Lakeland or the Lakeland Police Department (LPD).

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to support the dedicated members of the Lakeland Police Department and their families—past, present, and future.

How We Make a Difference

Through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners, the Foundation has been able to provide meaningful support in many ways, including:

Honoring Heroes: Building and maintaining the Fallen Heroes Memorial, a lasting tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Caring for Retired K-9s: Ensuring retired police dogs receive the medical care and support they deserve after years of loyal service.
Investing in Education: Offering scholarships and educational grants for LPD members and their children.
Helping in Times of Crisis: Providing hardship grants to officers and their families facing deaths, serious injuries, illnesses, or unexpected personal crises.
Building Community & Recognition: Hosting appreciation events for members and retirees to strengthen the bonds of the LPD family.
Inspiring Future Leaders: Supporting the Lakeland Police Explorer Program, which guides young people interested in careers in law enforcement.

Powered by Community Generosity

Behind every badge is a family, a sacrifice, and a story. The Lakeland Police Foundation ensures those stories are honored with dignity, compassion, and lasting support. Together, we ensure that those who dedicate their lives to protecting ours receive the support, care, and recognition they deserve. Whether through individual contributions, corporate sponsorships, or community events, your donations impact the lives of officers, their families, and the Lakeland community as a whole.
