WHO WE ARE

South County Tail Waggers (SCTW) is a 100% volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit organization and we rely on our community for their donations to help us to save lives. We focus on saving the dogs facing euthanasia either for medical or behavioral reasons. We use the funds we have raised to get these precious animals the medical and or behavior rehabilitation that they need. We don’t believe in giving dogs “a second chance” because they didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. Rescue dogs do not mean that they are damaged – it means they have been desperately let down by the humans that they trusted the most. We believe in giving dogs the future and life they have always deserved and that is one free from pain and suffering and unconditional love.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Unfortunately, the global Covid-19 pandemic has set rescue behind what feels like decades. Cruel puppy mills and unprecedented backyard breeding coupled with the lack of spay and neuter resources leading to many “oopsie litters,” has left shelters and local rescue groups absolutely reeling as thousands of dogs are being euthanized daily across the US.

Pre-pandemic, the US already euthanized millions of dogs each year due to lack of space and dogs mentally and physically succumbing to kennel stress.

Post-pandemic those numbers are increasing every day as perfectly healthy and adoptable dogs are being euthanized in the thousands as there are just not enough people adopting rescue animals, and also people surrendering and dumping their dogs in unprecedented numbers.

Please help SCTW give dogs their happily ever after!

OUR FUNDRAISER

We are so excited to be holding our first-ever online auction which we are hoping will help us save many lives.

We are so blessed to have been donated this amazing one-of-a-kind signed 49er jersey! Originally only George Kittle was going to autograph it, then once some of the other 9er’s found out it was for a local dog rescue, 20 more 9er players joined in to autograph it for a total of 21 signatures. What a great team on and off the field! Wow!

Colibri Art & Framing, in Morgan Hill, CA, generously donated their design services and high-quality materials for the custom framing of this jersey. The frame, the mats, and the mounting are valued at over $1,200.00. They did really did an amazing job!

If you are not a sport collector or enthusiast, that is OK, you can still help save the lives of dogs that are most in need by making a donation that fits your budget, no matter the amount. We are fully aware that $100 to one person can be the equivalent to $1 for someone else, and we are grateful for every cent.
