We're Playing to Win for the African Rhino⛳ 🦏🦏🦏

As part of the conservation community, Over and Above Africa is dedicated to supporting our partners on the ground as we collectively protect and defend endangered wildlife in Africa.

Over & Above Africa, an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, advances wildlife conservation by strengthening ecosystems, supporting local communities with impactful initiatives, and inspiring global responsibility. We film all the projects we fund for issue awareness, donor satisfaction and full transparency. Since 2015, our proven model of wildlife conservation bridges the gap between traditional preservation efforts and community-based, grass roots initiatives.

Last year, when Angels Among Us Foundation invited us to partner on their Annual Golf Tournament for Charity, we championed elephants. This year we have chosen RHINOS. This, 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, "18 For the Rhino" will be held at the exclusive Monarch Beach Golf Links on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Funds raised will support Over & Above Africa's boots-on-the-ground organization that focus on African rhino protection and sanctuary.

We are holding our Playing to Win Silent Auction as a precursor to this incredible event to raise essential funding for these organizations working to prevent the extinction.

Who We Are

Over and Above Africa is an all-volunteer, wildlife conservation 501c3 public non-profit. Dedicated to protecting and defending endangered animals throughout Africa, and supporting initiatives that benefit endangered animals and the communities who live alongside them. We don’t just raise awareness; we fund proven, boots-on-the-ground initiatives that save wildlife, strengthen local conservation efforts, and create lasting impact where it’s needed most. Through powerful storytelling and video updates from every project we support, we bring donors and members into the field with us to feel and experience how your generosity makes it all possible. Our most ambitious project to date is our recently completed Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in South Africa. Sinc April of 2025 over 260 animals and bird species have been treated, rehabilitated and released back to the wild. From emergency rescues and rehabilitation to ranger support and education initiatives, we endeavor to inspire the next generation of wildlife protectors.

We need your help now! On Average, 3 Rhinos are killed every day in Africa.

Only 2 Northern white rhinos, under 60 Javan rhinos, and less than 80 Sumatran rhinos still remain, which makes them truly under threat of extinction. Their diminished numbers weaken the gene pool and raises the threat of in-breeding.

The only two remaining northern white rhino are kept under 24-hour guard in Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. The two rhinos are related. And while scientists are still trying to create a scenario where a fertilized egg can be implanted in the younger rhino and take, so far they have been unsuccessful.
