500 Women Scientists is a global grassroots organization with a mission to make science open, inclusive and accessible by fighting racism, patriarchy, and oppressive societal norms. To achieve our mission, our programs focus on three goals: (1) Changing the face of science, (2) Holding institutions accountable, and (3) Building collective power.

To quote the incomparable storyteller Maya Angelou, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” Like Ms. Angelou and the many brilliant minds of our time, we too, believe that everyone has a story to tell and that sharing stories is one of the most powerful tools that humans have at their disposal to build connection and community.

This is why 500 Women Scientists is thrilled to invite you to our first ever virtual Storytelling event this Giving Tuesday, November 29th from 6-8pm EST. This fundraiser will feature 4 incredible women in science, tech, engineering, mathematics and medicine from India, Ecuador and the United States sharing their unique stories of finding their place in the world through STEMM.
