Shoreline Refuge is an artistic masterpiece crafted from upcycled, decommissioned musical instruments, brass vases, and brass birds. This fountain features several extraordinary elements, including a water-driven wheel, a rolling marble that moves within the bell of a trumpet, and multiple water outlets. Water cascades down, around, and through the fountain, creating a mesmerizing and magical effect.

This sculpture comes complete with a pump and an elegant water bowl, making it easy to set up—simply plug it in and add water.

As I worked on this piece, I reflected on wildlife along the shoreline and their need for refuge during storms. I imagined them gathering at the water’s edge, seeking safety wherever possible. This instinctive behavior reflects both natural instinct and learned habits, symbolizing the quest for a secure haven. As a sculptor, I am immensely proud and grateful that the Dickinson Music Enrichment Foundation entrusted me with the creation of this sculpture for their fundraiser.
