Since 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue has been working to save shelter dogs and cats from certain euthanasia across the rural south and as far away as Puerto Rico and Hawaii. We are a volunteer-powered, 501c3 organization, and since our founding we have saved more than 32,000 dogs and cats from overcrowded, underfunded rural shelters.

We rely heavily on the generosity of unpaid volunteers who welcome dogs at transports, provide them with loving foster homes, drive them to and from adoption events, and carefully screen prospective adopters.
