Hey, gang. It's Kirsten, executive director of the Retired Racehorse Project! Over the last several holiday seasons, I've made personal contributions to our year-end campaign by way of my crafting habit and while this year is no exception, it's possbily the most ambitious and unique undertaking to-date.

You see, I really like making things like handbags, pillow covers, and other useful things and I've found a cool little niche utilizing retired or excess saddle towels to make these items. I like that they showcase our love of racing and upcycles the towel so that we can enjoy them in a more functional way. I've gotten such wonderful support for these projects from connections at tracks and trainers from all over the country that I've been inundated with towels and I've been trying to figure out how to put a dent in my inventory.

So here we are. 25 totally unique Christmas stockings comprised of saddle towels from graded stakes races to those used on a daily basis in allowances and claimers, all retired to my sewing table to be carefully deconstructed and remade into a memento for your mantel or stall front. My hands are tired and I had to call in my parents for reinforcements but I'm so delighted with how these came out.

As with in years past, I am offering personalization on the cuff of the stocking with several font options and the ability add the OTTB horse head logo:

Each stocking is generously-sized and fully lined with a holiday-themed print. Again, each of these stockings are completely unique. No repeating color/lining combinations.
