Story

Hosted in collaboration with Horizons New York City, our annual gala is returning in-person! Please join us as we celebrate the resilience and spirit of the Horizons Brooklyn program, and honor our Horizons Hero: Joe Chan, and Distinguished Service Award recipient: Rachel Webber!

All children deserve the opportunity to succeed, but existing public systems inhibit equal outcomes, and maintain societal inequities. Across our country, many students and families are unable to access the support they need, both during and outside of school.

Going on 15 years of operation, Horizons Brooklyn has ensured access to summer learning for over 135 K- 8th grade students each year, where they become inspired to learn as they explore both academics and extracurriculars. With specific goals to improve literacy and math, we prioritize students’ annual return – ensuring consistent intervention in early development and onwards.

As we continue navigating the impacts of the global pandemic, the Horizons Brooklyn program is reliant on your support. Please consider making a donation and helping HBK advance education equity right here in Brooklyn. We are truly grateful for our community of students, families, and supporters - thank you!
