Children who have been adopted or in foster care have suffered loss.

The purpose of the event is to raise funding for the vital support to adoptive and foster families and children. Our programs equip children and families to heal. The goal for the Miriam's Heart Gala is $75,000, which offsets most of the annual fundraising needs, allowing Miriam's Heart leadership team and staff to focus on providing radical support to children and families!

Sponsors, table hosts, and ticket sales help us to bring this fabulous annual event and raise as much support as possible while having a totally radical time!

Tell me more about Miriam's Heart?

Miriam’s Heart has been a safe space dedicated to children and families for a little over 15 years. Sometimes, Miriam’s Heart fills the gap left by unanswered questions, mends the scars of trauma from life experiences, shame, fear, and self-doubt, and we teach kids to take those negative feelings and experiences and turn them into resilience, passion, boldness, and self-worth. But we cannot continue to support children and families or advocate without you. By supporting this event, you provide children and teens access to healing and support that is uniquely able to help them heal and thrive.

Each year, Miriam's Heart hosts a fundraising gala to benefit the mission of Miriam's Heart. This year, The Totally Radical 80’s Glam Gala is a 1980s-themed, formal black-tie event. We've switched up the venue and are moving to the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. This soirée promises to transport you back to the era of opulence, neon lights, and big hair of this bodacious decade. Hosted by Miriam's Heart, the annual gala is not just the party of the year; it is also a heartfelt opportunity to make a difference while having a blast.

Dress Code & Theme

You may be asking, ‘The 1980’s? How do I dress for this?’ The answer is HOWEVER YOU'D LIKE. Some folks choose to dress up and others opt to wear formal attire. If you want to dress up, choose lace, neon colors, poufy sleeves, sequins, and velvet. What it does not mean is warm-ups, leg warmers, or aerobics gear. It is a GLAM gala, after all.
