For the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, we work with local middle schools to educate students about the causes, course, and consequences of the events that took place on September 11, 2001, and how we saw hope in action as people came together on September 12th, organizing blood drives and supporting first responders. Our project is two-fold: we ask students to research a victim and create a biography, and we ask students to plan a service project.

The American Flag Memorial will be on display this year at Harvester Community Church, located at 2432 Collier Pkwy., in Land O' Lakes. Biographies will be attached to the back of a red, white, or blue placard. The name and location of each victim is on a placard.
