Our Story...

It's been four years since we first launched the 911der Women Facebook Group! We hoped maybe 100 women would join and we could share resources, mentorship and inspiration. At the end of week one, we had over 1,000 members. In four years, we have grown to almost 14,000 members plus more supports from across the globe!

Our mission is to strengthen and support the Women of 911 and equip them with the tools to foster professional and personal growth. 911der Women is a nonprofit and a community where women are empowered to contribute significantly to the public safety industry and work through barriers in pursuit of their goals.

We envision an industry where women in 911 have expanded pathways to career advancement, leadership, and personal growth. An organization built from experience, 911der Women creates the opportunity for every woman to achieve her fullest potential through networking, peer support, mentoring, and education. Confident women in 911 benefit the public safety community by showcasing their unique talents, professionalism and experiences. When women in 911 find their voice, they find their power.

Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization provides the following programs:

Free/low cost virtual and in-person training for 911 professionals to develop leadership skills, career development, personal development, mental health/wellness, and operations within their centers.
Networking opportunities across the country.
A robust scholarship program that pays the way for women in 911 to obtain professional certifications.
"Her Voice" blog series that provides a platform for women in 911 to share their stories and their voice.
Empower Panel podcast series which brings 911 professionals together to discuss topics that aren't discussed nearly enough in our community.
Monthly and Yearly awards program for women in 911.
