Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) has steadfastly advocated for Black women's and girls' health and wellness for over 40 years. BWHI is the only national organization addressing the most pressing health issues affecting Black women and girls, through the delivery of evidence-based programs, conducting critical research, and initiating policy change.

Access Bridge is rapidly expanding access to evidence-based reproductive health services, including abortion, by building capacity of emergency departments (EDs) in the United States as reproductive health care safety nets. Reproductive health care is in danger – 1 in 3 people live in maternal health care deserts, 1 in 3 women face barriers to getting affordable contraception, and the majority of patients turning to the emergency department for miscarriage don’t receive evidence-based care. We launched after Roe was overturned, and already work with over 100 hospitals in 30 states. With your help, we can reach all 50 states and transform the ED standard of care in less than 5 years. We know we can do this because we have already done it – in five years, we changed the standard of care for addiction treatment in the ED. Your funds will support stipends for coaches and champions and help us promote practice change in national professional organizations, staffing groups, and health care systems.
