Come join us for the first inaugural Black Box Movers Musical Theatre Choreography Showcase!

Founded by Kellyann Coyle and Abigail Rebekah, Black Box Movers is a no-fee choreographic showcase featuring full-length musical theater numbers. It is the first of its kind showcase, allowing aspiring choreographers to direct and choreograph a number with professional performers, work with music directors, and experience direct mentorship from industry professionals. The pieces you will see presented at the April 28th show will include recreated works from a variety of musicals.

Five industry professionals have signed on to mentor these choreographers through the process: Karla Puno Garcia, Patrick O'Neil, Deidre Goodwin, Jennifer Jancuska, and Sara Brians. These wonderful mentors have come in during the process to provide guidance and beneficial mentorship. This year's showcase has nine NYC-based Aspiring Choreographers cultivating work. The 2025 Showcase Choreographers: Abigail Rebekah, Adam Wedesky, Alex Miller, Chloé Roberts, Dianne Cano, Isaiah Silvia-Chandley, Jill Gittleman, Shany Dagan, & Yasmyn Sumiyoshi.

We would love for you to join us for this spectacular event on April 28th at 7:00 pm at the Gibney: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center. Tickets are a Suggested Donation of $25 per person. Tickets will not be available at the door.

*We will be prioritizing tickets purchased with a donation. If you choose to not donate, we may have to reject your in-person ticket and move you to a virtual ticket.

We will also have our Virtual Livestream available via Zoom on April 28th at 7:00 pm. Tickets for this are a Suggested Donation of $25 per person. Livestream links will be sent out 24-hours before the show.
